It can be difficult to figure out exactly for what a game is aiming. Such monster games seem to be all about player experience. Others seem to prioritize an artistic statement over everything else. There are still others, though, that just seem to be a channel for microtransactions. They put a few basic systems in place, add in a couple of money and time sinks, and then hope that players won’t realize the game they’re playing doesn’t really deserve the money they’re asked to spend. If ever there was a good example of this type of game, it is Smash City Monster Battles.

4 Color Cards Game is a fun and engaging Flash game that’s based off the highly popular UNO card game. The game involves cards in four different colors, which are red, blue, green, and yellow. There are also many action cards that change the pattern of the game. When you first start playing, you’ll be asked to select the number of players. The game only allows for a single human player, but you can play against one, two, or three opponents. Once you’ve selected the number of players, the game will deal the cards. Each player receives seven cards to start the game, and the object is to be the first player to play every card in your hand.
“Soldiers Inc” is a free-to-play Massively Multiplayer Online Strategy Game made by Plarium that recalls both the addictive daily-play rewards of Clash of Clans (including exclusive rewards for consecutive days of play!) and the real-time strategy and building of games like StarCraft. You are immediately placed in command of a private military organization working, for good or ill, in arid and hostile Zandia. The mysterious Mr. Black is your supervisor and main “friendly” contact throughout the game though one begins to realize that all things may not be quite as they appear. Continue reading
“Lazer Drive” is like Slither.io a fast-paced online multiplayer game that involves moving across a board, avoiding obstacles and achieving the best score possible by killing your enemies. The graphics in the game are very basic and vector-based. Every character is just a dot with a trailing line of a certain color. The background board is a dark blue grid and nothing more. There are no sound effects making some actions like killing an enemy anticlimactic. A good thing is that there are very few distractions or pieces of text in the play window. Continue reading

If you’re looking for a fun game, then you should try Papa’s Cheeseria. You get to cook in a kitchen and run a restaurant without having to do the real work in real life. This is an exciting game for anyone who enjoys cooking. You start by taking the orders at the front of the restaurant. You then begin building the sandwiches. You could start by putting the fries down into the fryer since they take longer. Be careful that you don’t burn the fries or the sandwiches. You have to check them often to make sure you’re cooking them the right way. Continue reading
Pre-Civilization Bronze Age is part of a series of building and resource management games. It takes place during the Bronze Age and has limited technology available. The game relies on small cartoon graphics. The graphics are fun to look at although they are too small to see in most cases. Additionally, the game is really menu driven making the actual graphics and animations irrelevant to gameplay. A nice musical score is in the background that matches the action on the screen and the in-game storyline. The score and sound effects do not get annoying. Continue reading
