“Grow Cinderella” is a Flash-based title produced by Eyezmaze.com and part of the “Grow” series of games. The premise of Grow Cinderella seems to be clicking objects in order to give Cinderella an outfit stylish enough to attract Prince Charming.

Fleeing the Complex is an endearing title, which sort of surprised me at the start. You are a stick figure man in a stick figure world. Tasked with (you guessed it) fleeing the complex. The action is very much point-and-click, but the pointing and clicking is relegated only to an options screen that overlays the said on screen action. The premise is simple here. Escape. The choices that you are presented play themselves out in an art style that is both simple and perfect for this type of tongue-in-cheek comedy romp. I feel like some of the options are not so obvious in how you implement them however. Continue reading

Levers is an interesting game by Vectorpark that uses physics to create increasingly complex challenges for players. The game is deceptively simple when you first start. The graphics are done in bold shapes and colors much like cutouts. There are sound effects from the very start although no background music is present. The first screen you see has water flowing along the bottom. You hear the sounds of waves crashing. A single arm with hoops on each end is balanced at the top center of the screen much like an empty mobile. Gameplay starts right away without any menus or credit screens.
Bart Saw Game is a point-and-click adventure or puzzle game based off The Simpsons characters. One of the first things you will notice is that the animations and graphics do not match the series as much as they could. They are more stylized than normal. They also include features that can make the characters look a little out-of-place. Additionally, the animations are jumpy and not smooth at all. It can be hard to tell when you are watching a scripted animation or when the game is waiting for you to react. There is dark music in the background as you play although it does not go well with bright Simpsons characters.
Snail Bob is the star of a series of free-to-play online games and can currently be seen in Snail Bob 8: Island Story, a low-key, entertaining platform and puzzle game. The game can be played in a small window or full screen. The graphics are colorful and cartoonish in a style that is completely appropriate for the concept and characters in the game. Each level of the game, at least in the early stages, is fully contained on the visible screen – no side-scrolling. The player knows exactly what must be accomplished to progress to the next level.
